YYC Market Girls, founded by Jasmine and Madison (the Co founders behind Aces and Oak), is a community dedicated to supporting Calgary's small businesses. Our journey began with our successful Winter Market in 2024, and we're now eagerly planning our Spring Local.
From Zero to Sold-Out: Our Two-Month Social Media Success Story.
In just two months, we transformed a blank slate into a thriving online community and completely sold out our 2024 Winter Market. Leveraging strategic social media tactics, we built a passionate audience and drove unprecedented event success, proving that rapid growth and real results are achievable.
What We Did to Achieve Success
✓ We built a social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from scratch in two months.
✓ We reached out to vendors and promoted applications, resulting in over 80 vendor applicants and 150 interested vendors. We successfully filled our vendor slots.
✓ We managed venue logistics, including a custom floor plan and coordinating with media personnel.
✓ We launched ads on Meta and TikTok, selling out our 1,000 free tickets on Eventbrite.
✓ We created engaging visual content that resonated with the community and increased brand awareness for the event.
✓ Our social media strategy involved reviewing analytics and regularly adjusting our content and engagement plans to maximize reach and interactions.
